College Credit

The University of Oklahoma is offering an online American Federal Government course for Oklahoma Girls State participants for only $240 for three college credit hours. Start college SOONER with OU Concurrent Enrollment and take this General Education course that can potentially count as a dual credit course for your high school Government credit and college credit. George Nigh Scholarship

The George Nigh Scholarship is provided by Oklahoma Girls State to the citizen who prepares the best legislation. All participants who would like to participate must bring two type written-copies of legislation they have prepared. The legislation will be judged by independent individuals for content, research, and relevancy of topic.

Samsung Scholarship

The Samsung Scholarship is for high school juniors who complete either a Boys State or Girls State program and are a direct descendant - i.e. child, grandchild, great grandchild, etc. - or a legally adopted child of a wartime veteran who served on active duty during at least one of the periods of war officially designated as eligibility dates for American Legion membership.

Samsung scholarships are for undergraduate study only and may be used for tuition, books, fees, and room and board. Winners are selected according to academic record, involvement in school and community activities, community service and financial need. Applicants who are direct descendants of Korean War veterans will receive special consideration.
